Easy (2 hours). East, at first using a small road through to woods. December-April. Lago Vannino is a point from where the tour continues to Alpe Devero, Punta d'Arbola or Lago Morasco.

Eenvoudig (2 uur). Oost, eerste stuk over smal pad door het bos. December-april. Lago Vannino is een etappe op weg naar Alpe Devero, Punta d'Arbola of Lago Morasco.

Sagersboden (1780 m.) - Lago Vannino (2177 m.)

Lago Vannino with view towards --> the west Punta d'Arbola 3253 m.; on the left side of the pictures (south) - Scatta Minoia 2599 m.  mountain-pass for Alpe Devero. Tour north of Lago Vannino 'Nefelgiú', to reach another barrage: Lago Morasco and Riale, cross-country centre at an altitude of 1800 m.

II. Pictures Riale - Lago di Morasco - Alpe Bättelmatt  - Griespass in new window:

Easy (3 hours), with start in Riale, direction northwest towards Lago di Morasco, Alpe Bettelmat 2112 m. reaching the Gries pass (2463 m.) on the Swiss border Kanton Wallis (Goms). From here the itinerary could go further towards the Nufenen pass, or for example the Blinnerhorn 3374 m. Also possible from Bättelmatt to Lake Sabbione. Pictures are from autumn 2007, but are presented here because they show the natural circumstances between Riale and Gries Pass. Its always interesting to check the natural surrounding before the winter comes.

Eenvoudig (3 uur), vanuit Riale 1720 m. naar het noordwesten via Lago di Morasco, Alpe Bettelmat 2112 m. naar de Griespas 2463 m. op de grens met Zwitsers Wallis (Goms). Vanaf dit punt kan men verder naar de Nufenenpas, of bijvoorbeeld naar de Blinnerhorn 3374 m. Bij Alpe Bettelmat kan goed afgebogen worden richting het stuwmeer van Sabbione. Deze foto's zijn bij deze pagina voor ski-alpinisme geplaatst, omdat ze ook een indruk geven van het traject in de winter.

III. Pictures Riale - Rifugio Maria Luisa (2157 m.) - Lago del Toggia in new window:

Easy (2 hours), with start in Riale, direction northeast using the mountain road towards Mountain hut Maria Luisa. Near the rifugio you'll see artificial lake Lago del Toggia 2191 m. At the other side of this lake: San Giacomo Pass 2313 m., Swiss border with Kanton Ticino. From here the itinerary could as well go further towards the Nufenen pass, or for example to the west Helgenhorn 2837 m., Grieshorn 2929 m. Before reaching Maria Luisa its also possible to choose right: Lago Castel 2225 m., with on the back Punta del Castel 3123 m. and 3272 m. Monte Basòdino.

Eenvoudig (2 uur), vanuit Riale naar het noordoosten via een besneeuwde onverharde bergweg naar de berghut Maria-Luisa. Iets verder is het bergmeer Lago del Toggia met aan de andere kant van het meer de bergpas Passo San Giacomo 2313 m. Ook hier is de grens met Zwitserland, maar dan met de Kanton Ticino. Vanaf dit punt kan men verder naar de Nufenenpas, of bijvoorbeeld naar het westen: de Helgenhorn 2837 m., Grieshorn 2929 m. Net iets ten zuiden van Lago del Toggia 2191 m. ligt het Lago Castel 2225 m. met daarachter: Punta del Castel 3123 m. en de 3272 m. hoge Monte Basòdino.
