April 2006: Het feest van de Olympische Spelen in Turijn is helaas verleden tijd. Zeker is dat de stad nu door de wereld anders wordt gezien als zomaar een industriestad van Fiat. De geografische ligging is prachtig aan de rivier de Po, het uitzicht op de Alpen. Het grote centrum is vol historie, musea en bezienswaardigheden. Chocolade en soepstengels zijn een specialiteit van de regio, net als het aperitief in de avond en koffie is perfect de hele dag. Turijn is echt een geweldigde stad om te bezoeken.
April 2006: The Olympic Games of Torino are over. It was fun (thank you), and its for sure that Turin's image all over the world is not any longer just an industrial one. De situation on the banks of the river Po, the spectacular view towards the Alps. The historical centre, inviting you to visit museum and other remarkable buildings as churches and the 'mole'. Chocolates and 'grissini' are a specialty of the region, just like aperitifs in the evening and the coffee every hour of the day. Torino surprises!.

Wintervakantie in Ossola & Olympische Winterspelen in Turijn Host van de twintigste Olympische Winterspelen Turijn, is met bijna één miljoen inwoners, de vierde grootste stad van Italië. Sinds de Romeinse tijd is Torino vanuit de lucht als een schaakbord in de Alpen met de boulevards (corso's) die bijna perfecte rechthoeken vormen. Het meest in het oog springende monument van de stad is de 167 m. hoge Mole Antonelliana. In dit monument bevindt zich ook een filmuseum.

Turin, which is the capital of the Piedmont region, is located at the foot of the Alps where the Po and the Dora Riparia rivers meet in north western Italy. De regio Ossola ligt 150 km. van Torino in Piemonte. Met de trein is het ongeveer drie uur reizen vanuit Domodossola. Rechtstreeks rond 6.00 in de ochtend en terug om 16,50 bijvoorbeeld (Enkeltje 10 Euro). In de avond kan men eventueel ook via Milaan terugreizen, dat kan tot diep in de nacht.
