Ossola, a north Italian region, is surrounded by the Alpine Natural Parks Alpe Veglia-Devero and the first National Park of the Italian Alps: ValGrande. Domodossola is the main town in the Ossola valley, from where you can reach about 150 km. of ski-slopes within one hour. Situated near the Swiss border it gives opportunity to experience the difference between the Swiss and Italian way of life. Ossola can also easily be reached by train with arrival at the Domodossola international railway- and bus station. The world of Milano is only about one hour and a half away. Lowest natural border from Ossola with Switzerland in the North-West is the Simplon pass, 2005 m. Highest point is the Punta Dufour, 4635 m.: Ossola: a region with Piemontese gastronomy, where you can enjoy the pureness of winter and sports.

Ossola Valley and at the lakes of Mergozzo, Orta and Maggiore, if rented for
more weeks, then with possible price reduction. Masera: Ossola Valley Masera is an easygoing village with supermarket, butcher, baker, drugstore, kiosque, traξteur, hairdresser, post-office, a few restaurants and bars. Public swimming-pool at 7 km. in Domodossola. Lakes and high mountains around the corner. San Domenico, Valle Viigezzo and Domobianca are only half an hour away. Macugnaga and Formazza one hour from Masera. 1. Casa Elena (2-6 persons):
Traditional rustic Ossola style cottage on a little car-free square in Masera. Modern kitchen with living and fire-place. Two bedrooms: on the first floor (bed for 2 persons) and attic-floor (two single beds). Bathroom. Breakfast service available.
2. Villa Panorama (2-4 persons):
A few turns above the Valley, ground-floor in this modern villa with terraces and veranda. Entrance, kitchen and living room with TV and 2 beds within bench. Bedroom with bed for 2 persons and washbasin, bathroom with shower and washing machine. Unique view towards the Ossola valley and mountains.
3 . Casa Giuseppina (4-6 persons):
Country house on impressive estate with botanic garden in Masera. Private terrace looks towards the mountains. Living room with TV, separate kitchen with fire-place. First floor: 3 bedrooms and bathroom with shower.
Ossola Valley: Crevoladossola. Domodossola, 10 km. from Domobianca. New: every Friday night-skiing and snowboarding.
4. Villa d'ιpoca Silva (2-4-6 persons):
Ossolaland's highest located (600 m.) villa in the Ossola Valley near Crevoladossola. Garden, terrace with barbecue and veranda: 40 m. Really a nice house with spectacular view. On the ground-floor: living room with fire-place, kitchen. Bathroom with shower and washing machine. First-floor: bedroom with bed for 2 persons and on the attic-floor bedroom with 3 beds. Extra room available with 2 beds and extra bathroom.
5. Domodossola - Cappuccina quarter: Bed & Breakfast di Mary (4-5 persons):
The Cappuccina quarter is situated between Domodossola centre and the Bogna River. A particular location for a holiday in the Alps, because of its Mediterranean atmosphere. In the thirty's the first families, that arrived from the south of Italy settled here. Bed & Breakfast di Mary on the ground floor has got three bedrooms and a nice garden. One bedroom with bed for two persons, the other with two single beds and one with single bed. Well equipped Kitchen. Bathroom with shower. Cosy, spacious living room with TV. Collective washing machine. Parking place in Via Italia.
Bungalows in the Ossola - Vigezzo mountains In the Eastern part of the Ossola Valley, in that strip of Piedmont territory not far from Lombardy, there is a corridor that constitutes the most accessible and easiest passage between the mountains of Simplon and Gottard. This ribbon of land borders the Ticino canton of Switzerland between the Western and Central Alps. Within these Lepontine Alps, the corridor follows a track that begins in Domodossola and in a west-to-east direction, interrupted in the middle by the Swiss border, ends in Locarno. The section of the corridor located in the Ticino canton is called "Centovalli" and the section located in Val d'Ossola, Italy is called "Valle Vigezzo," also renowned as the Painter' Valley.
During the winter season there is a lot going on: cross-country, Alpine skiing. At only about 100 m. from Camping Hermitage the cable-car goes to the south-orientated ski-area of La Piana (1725 m.). With Cross-country and ice-skating in Santa Maria Maggiore, skiing for beginners in Druogno (la Baitina). But also the larger Ossola ski areas are nearby. For example the ski runs (with orientation towards north/northeast) at Lusentino-Domobianca (above Domodossola, only 30 km. away from Craveggia) offer always the best conditions (artificial snow, night-skiing on Fridays). 7 . Vogogna: At the Theater - Bed & Breakfast - Al Teatro (1-10 Persons):
Bed & Breakfast in the medieval Palazzo Arcangeli, located in the historical centre of Vogogna. Ideally situated between (about 20 km. from) the lakes and Domodossola and near the highest mountains of the Alps. Village with entrance and footpaths into Valgrande: the National Park known as the largest wilderness in Italy.
Free-parking nearby Bed and Breakfast 'Al Teatro'. Nice garden. Four bedrooms with two beds or beds for two persons. All rooms with separate heating and private bathroom: one with bath and three with shower. Breakfast will be served in the living room. It's also possible for a large group or family to rent 'at the theater' as a Villa: all the rooms, inclusive well equipped kitchen and living room with fire place, couch bed and TV.
Ossola - Toce: 5 km. from Lago Maggiore, 7 km. from Lago d'Orta and 5 km. from Lago di Mergozzo.
8 . Casa Luciana (2-5 Persons):The little torrent near the house is called 'Lovic' at the villages borders were its perfect to cycle or to do some jogging. Only 1 km. from horse riding. Apartment on the ground-floor. Kitchen with Satellite-TV, oven and washing machine. Two bedrooms. Bathroom with shower. Terrace and parking.
